Mitten Bees is a small, family-run beekeeping operation in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are a family of four, early in our beekeeping journey, focused on learning the basics and doing the work carefully and responsibly.

We keep bees at a family scale and prioritize good management over growth. Our focus is healthy colonies, honest honey, and building skills over time. We also offer concierge beekeeping for individuals or organizations interested in hosting hives on their property—handling all aspects of hive care and management, with honey as a takeaway.

As Mitten Bees grows, we plan to expand into workshops, small events, and hands-on learning opportunities, while staying practical and approachable.
